Sports governance made simple

Understanding governance is crucial when complying with the new Code for Sports Governance. If your sport’s organisation seeks public funding, it is essential to re-evaluate your governance systems.

ICSA’s qualification can help you to assess your current governance arrangements and implement new ones effectively.

Structured into three modules, the Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Sport Governance and Administration examines the following key topics:

• Principles of good governance

• Legal and regulatory aspects of sport governance

• Responsibilities of the board

• Developing an ethical framework

• Corporate social responsibility and sustainability

This webinar-based course is aimed at all those in sports organisations with governance or administration responsibilities, from club director to head of administration.

There are no formal entry requirements and you can fit your studies around your work.

The course costs £850, including materials. Recommended study time is 150 hours (six months of study).

Live webinars start on 22 February and are available to download at any time.

The next exam sittings are Thursday 8 June and Thursday 30 November 2017. Find out more at www.icsa.org.uk/sga
